Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Swallowcourt. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Monitor and record residents' conditions, reporting any changes to the senior care assistant or person in charge.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Administer medication, as required, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support residents in achieving their personal goals and accompany them to medical appointments or excursions.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a care role, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues.
