Care Assistant

Swallowcourt is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Residents: Provide support to residents with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as per their individual care plans.
- Domestic Duties: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by completing domestic duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and waste management.
- Nutrition and Hydration: Ensure residents receive nutritious meals and snacks, taking into account their dietary requirements and preferences.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to the senior care assistant or person in charge.
- Teamwork: Participate in team meetings and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals.
- Medication Administration: Administer medication to residents, following company guidelines and maintaining accurate records.
- Support and Accompaniment: Assist residents with personal goals, accompany them to medical appointments, and provide support during waking night duties.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to Health and Safety policies, taking reasonable care of your own health, safety, and welfare, as well as that of others.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a carers role is essential.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills are required to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
