About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Health Inclusion Specialist Midwife to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside other midwives, support workers, ward clerks, cleaners, and doctors to ensure a high standard of care and efficient patient flow on the ward.
  • Support more junior staff and students to develop their knowledge and skills, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 coverage and support to patients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • A passion for antenatal care and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Able to work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using relevant software and systems.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in community and hospital settings, with a strong understanding of the complexities of maternity care.
  • Ability to use innovative approaches to practice individualized care, with a focus on patient-centered care and empowerment.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching, with a strong track record of supporting the development of junior staff and students.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance and patient safety protocols, with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
