Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced midwife to join our Community Midwifery team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional maternity care in a range of community settings.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents and be able to demonstrate motivation to maintain professional development. They will also be able to work within acute and primary health care settings and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Main Duties of the Job

The midwife will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women and families in the community, working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team. They will also be required to participate in an on-call system and have the ability to exercise professional accountability and autonomy.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • RM and eligible to practice
  • Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills

Desirable Criteria

  • To have obtained or be studying at diploma level

Experience

  • Sound knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents with awareness of implications to service provision
  • Able to demonstrate motivation to maintain professional development
  • Ability to work within acute and primary health care settings

  • Previous community and hospital experience
  • Ability to use flexible innovative approaches to practice tailored to meet the clients' individual needs
