Our dedicated Security Teams are currently engaged in protecting vital assets globally, whether it's ensuring a secure atmosphere for attendees at major events or overseeing surveillance for financial institutions. Our Security Officers are essential in fostering a sense of security for all.

Contracted Hours: 36 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £15.76 per hour

This role involves alternating 12-hour shifts under a 36-hour contract, including weekdays and weekends across multiple locations.

Role Overview

As a Security Officer with Securitas, you will go beyond traditional guarding duties. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of our clients, their personnel, properties, and valuable assets while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the onsite Supervisor and operate within a significant facility for a leading defense and security organization.
  • Play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information across various domains including air, maritime, land, and cyber.
  • Securely monitor the premises, company resources, and visiting personnel.
  • Conduct regular patrols throughout the facility, both internally and externally.
  • Remain vigilant to identify and deter any suspicious or potentially harmful activities.
  • Maintain control over any threatening situations until external assistance arrives.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, documenting and reporting any hazards or faults.
  • Utilize communication devices and other security equipment effectively.
Essential Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in a corporate security setting is preferred.
  • A clear 5-year checkable employment history is mandatory.
  • Possession of a current SIA Licence or willingness to undergo training for accreditation.
  • Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations.
  • A proactive and observant approach to security duties.
  • Basic computer literacy, including email and radio operation.
