Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our theatre team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Work closely with our theatre team to ensure efficient and effective operating theatre management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations.

Requirements

  • Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) with experience in robotics (Da Vinci) is essential.
  • Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree.
  • Recent experience in theatre nursing.
  • 18 months working within a similar autonomous role is desirable.
  • Aptitude for clinical and operative practice.
  • Ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a day-to-day basis and plan ahead.
