About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our team at Cromwell Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical care and supporting the consultant surgeon in the safe operation of our robotic surgical system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients undergoing robotic or laparoscopic procedures
  • Assist the consultant surgeon in the safe operation of the robotic surgical system
  • Support other professionals in managing surgical patient pathways
  • Undertake advanced practice as the bedside assistant to patients undergoing robotic or laparoscopic procedures
  • Provide support and advice to nursing, medical, and allied health professional staff
  • Lead the provision of care in accordance with Cromwell Hospital policies
Requirements
  • RN 1st level registration - NMC registration or Registered ODP
  • RCS Basic Surgical Skills Course - SFA qualification
  • SCP training completed or undertaking
  • ENB 176/183/182 or equivalent
  • Teaching/assessing qualification - ENB 998 or equivalent
