About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our Surgical Institute. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering and optimizing our Robotics Surgery program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons in robotic surgeries, including prepping and draping, port incision, robot setup, and instrumentation knowledge.
  • Participate in surgical procedures under the direction and/or instruction of the Consultant surgeon.
  • Develop research-based practice and quality assurance in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and clinical audit.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, facilitating their professional development and training.
Requirements
  • Significant experience as a Surgical Care Practitioner, with expertise in robotic surgeries, particularly in abdominal and pelvic surgery.
  • Demonstrated skills in clinical decision making, clinical surgical skills, teaching, critical thinking, coaching, counseling, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for team and individual improvement, and engage staff in teaching and training.
  • Autonomy in robotics projects, with collaboration with the Lead SCP and various consultants.
