Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated individual for the role of Combined Sewer Overflow Technician. This position is crucial for supporting the Networks Asset Manager in monitoring and reporting on sewage asset performance. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and optimizing asset functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventing system failures and minimizing environmental impacts, disruptions, and property damage.
  • Conducting inspections and implementing maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations at Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs).
  • Preparing and conducting monthly audits and reports.
  • Managing team communications and responding to inquiries promptly.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with various departments.
  • Addressing ad-hoc data requests from management and other teams.
  • Assisting in the training of new team members on job responsibilities.
  • Enhancing environmental protection and asset performance.
  • Supporting operational teams during investigations of environmental impacts.
  • Developing tailored maintenance plans and conducting routine checks.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Mathematics, English, and a Science subject (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other corporate software.
  • A willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
