Become a Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Are you a recent Psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience supporting students with diverse learning needs? This position offers a unique opportunity to work with individuals facing challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, or Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Protocol Education is on the lookout for dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide support to children with special educational needs in a nurturing educational environment. This role will offer invaluable experience in the field of special education, and we are particularly interested in psychology graduates who are motivated to develop their skills in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute positively to student interventions.

Compensation: £83.50-£100 per day

Key Qualifications:

  • A compassionate and empathetic demeanor
  • A genuine interest in working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Adaptability in your approach to teaching
  • Current DBS check is required
  • Prior experience with SEND is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the educational development and learning of students
  • Provide both individual and group assistance as required
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Adhere to school policies, including those related to behavior management
