Job Opportunity: Mental Health Teaching Assistant
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the mental health and well-being of students aged 10-16 years old
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students in a one-to-one and group setting
- Assist with the development and implementation of mental health programs and initiatives
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, education, social work)
- Experience working with young people with SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
