Become a Psychology Graduate Support Assistant with Protocol Education

Are you a recent Psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting? This position offers a unique opportunity to work with students who have diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, or Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

If you aspire to build a career in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Clinical Psychology, this role is an excellent stepping stone.

Protocol Education is on the lookout for dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide support to children with special educational needs in a nurturing school environment. This role will offer invaluable experience in the field of special education, particularly for psychology graduates who wish to develop their skills in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute to effective interventions.

Compensation: £83.50-£100 per day

Key Qualifications:

  • A compassionate and empathetic demeanor
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Adaptability in your approach to learning
  • Current DBS check is mandatory
  • Prior experience with SEND is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in fostering the development and learning of students
  • Provide individualized and general support as required
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • Adhere to school policies, including those related to behavior management
