About the position:


As a Supported Lodgings Co-ordinator, you will oversee the coordination and implementation of the well-established Supported Lodgings program for Powys County Council.

This initiative currently engages 14 supportive hosts across the region, assisting a diverse group of young care leavers in their journey towards independence.

Your responsibilities will encompass the recruitment, evaluation, ongoing support, and supervision of hosts, while ensuring effective matches in collaboration with the young person's caseworker.

A strong commitment to empowering disadvantaged youth to achieve positive life outcomes.

The capability to navigate complex and occasionally conflicting situations while prioritizing the needs of the host and maintaining a child-centered approach.

Excellent assessment and written communication skills.

A flexible working style and a proactive attitude.

Your responsibilities will include:


As a Supported Lodgings Co-ordinator, you will be accountable for the development and management of a supported lodgings program for young individuals leaving care and those at risk of homelessness aged 16-17.

This role involves the recruitment, assessment, and training of host landlords, along with regular supervision and support of the hosts in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.

You will also be tasked with preparing comprehensive Supported Lodgings assessment reports for presentation to an approval panel.
