Technical Services Manager (Mechanical) Job Description

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager (Mechanical) to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the technical services of our clients.

About the Role
  • Manage and work alongside appointed maintenance contractors to ensure high-quality technical operations and compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee all technical issues, including mechanical systems and shutdowns, to maintain a high level of service delivery and minimize downtime.
  • Manage agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance and engineering systems are in place.
  • Responsible for managing the company's Health and Safety (H&S) and environmental performance on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and clients.
  • Plan and implement building shutdowns and complex client project works, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Responsible for managing the company's quality procedures on site, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Recruit and develop new staff, including annual appraisals, to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Manage client relationships and daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Manage all reports and identify additional business opportunities to deliver client satisfaction and increase contract sales revenue.
  • Responsible for the permit system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You
  • Qualified in mechanical engineering discipline (C&G, HNC, HND or higher), with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and building operations.
  • Strong overall technical engineering understanding, with experience of managing large engineering teams and 24/7 sites.
  • Previous experience of managing service delivery in high-profile commercial offices, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a demanding workload, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Salary up to £75,000, depending on experience.
