Position Overview:

The Director of Infrastructure Services will spearhead the management of our DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Database Administration, Corporate IT, Production Support, IT Security, Procurement, Release Management, and Software Monitoring teams. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in infrastructure oversight, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering innovation and operational efficiency across all service areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Formulate and implement the strategic vision for the Infrastructure Services division in alignment with the company's overarching objectives. Mentor a diverse team of professionals across various disciplines, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous enhancement. Conduct technology assessments for potential business integrations. Strategically utilize financial resources to advance the firm by ensuring the effective application of cutting-edge technology and processes to enhance performance. Build strong relationships with business leaders to provide a consultative approach to automation services. Collaborate closely with leadership and IT teams to develop and execute IT strategic plans that align with agency goals.
  • DevOps and Cloud Engineering: Direct the adoption and management of DevOps methodologies to optimize software development and deployment workflows. Ensure the effective design and management of cloud infrastructure to support scalable and dependable services.
  • Database Administration: Lead the DBA team to guarantee the performance, security, scalability, and availability of all databases. Implement best practices for database management, including backup and recovery protocols.
  • Corporate IT: Oversee the Corporate IT team to deliver robust and secure IT services to all personnel. Manage IT assets, software licensing, and user support effectively. Ensure proper access control measures are in place for all employees.
  • Production Support: Ensure the Production Support team provides prompt and effective resolution of incidents, from initial triage to post-resolution analysis. Establish processes to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
  • IT Security and Controls: Develop and enforce IT security policies and controls to safeguard company data and systems. Manage client and third-party security assessments. Stay informed about emerging security threats and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Procurement: Oversee the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and cost-effectiveness. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Release Management: Lead the Release Management team to ensure seamless and coordinated software releases. Implement best practices for release planning, scheduling, and deployment.
  • Production Software Monitoring: Ensure effective monitoring of production software to proactively identify and resolve issues. Implement tools and processes to enhance system performance and availability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Database Administration, Corporate IT, Production Support, IT Security, Procurement, Release Management, and Software Monitoring.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and regulatory requirements.
