Job Description for Commis Chef at EGGBREAK

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at EGGBREAK. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus, ensuring that all dishes are of the highest quality and presented to a high standard.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior chefs, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and well-maintained, and that the kitchen is kept in a safe and hygienic condition.
  • Assist with food deliveries and stock management, ensuring that all ingredients are stored and used efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and that the kitchen runs efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am-4:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7am-6pm
