Franklin Electric is seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sales Manager to join our UK and Ireland team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating sales within the UK and Ireland by promoting our full range of pumps and associated equipment, as well as peripheral services.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare weekly sales reports, including forecast, customer visit report, and competitor analysis, to monitor sales volume against budget and develop action plans to address variations.
- Create and maintain the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate records of sales inquiries and progress using our CRM system.
- Take ownership of achieving set sales targets, contributing to the growth and success of the business by maximising revenue opportunities from existing customers and nurturing business relationships.
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services, and ensure prompt follow-up and reporting.
- Participate in sales meetings, prepare sales presentations, and seek out appropriate contacts in organisations to understand their needs and develop leads.
- Support marketing with case studies and content, and assist in the development of the business sales and marketing strategy.
- Deliver our values of Quality, Availability, Service, Innovation, and Cost, while supporting Goal Zero, which means zero harm to people and the environment.
- Self-confident with excellent communication skills and honest in all interactions.
- Able to plan and organise daily and weekly calls without daily supervision and demonstrate the ability to plan and manage their workload with the overall goal of delivery and continuous growth to the business.
- Have the ability to focus on identifying and developing areas of opportunity to increase revenue and demonstrate drive and self-motivation in ensuring all opportunities are followed up and the business generated is profitable.
- Hold a full current driving licence and have a good geographical knowledge of the area.
- Previous face-to-face sales experience in the sales or rental business for plant hire equipment, rotating equipment industry, or similar industrial environment.
- Proven track record in profitable business generation, good financial acumen, budgetary awareness, experience of negotiating and working closely with customers to achieve optimum sales agreements, and reach financial targets.
- High competency level in MS Office applications.
