Role Overview
As a Vocational Training Specialist, you will oversee the implementation of designated vocational study programs, ensuring high standards of educational delivery. Your role will involve addressing daily operational challenges, managing assessments, and coordinating schedules to maintain a consistent educational experience across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Instruction and Assessment: Provide exceptional teaching and assessment in the engineering machinist field, adhering to established college standards and relevant accrediting bodies. Prepare instructional materials, develop lesson plans, and engage in quality assurance activities in collaboration with colleagues. Assess student performance and maintain comprehensive records of their progress, including regular updates to Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
  2. Course Management: Handle daily course management tasks, including communication, problem resolution, and timetable adjustments. Ensure compliance with internal verification processes and liaise with various departments to facilitate smooth operations.
  3. Workplace Engagement: Conduct visits to students' workplaces to set skill development objectives, monitor progress, and evaluate competencies in accordance with industry standards.
  4. Candidate Recruitment: Assist in the recruitment and selection of candidates for vocational courses, managing enrollment processes effectively to ensure students are placed in appropriate programs.
  5. Student Support: Hold regular meetings with students to establish and review academic and personal goals, providing guidance and support in both educational and pastoral matters.
  6. Performance Monitoring: Track student attendance and performance metrics, administering course evaluations and implementing action plans as necessary.
  7. English and Maths Promotion: Encourage and support students in their English and Maths studies, addressing attendance and progression in these essential subjects.
  8. Collaboration and Development: Participate in meetings and events to foster collaboration with colleagues and external partners, contributing to the development of training programs and teaching methodologies.
  9. Administrative Duties: Support departmental administration by maintaining accurate records, preparing reports on student performance, and engaging in quality assurance processes.
