Job Description

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to align the human resources strategy with the overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Board, remuneration committee, and nominations committee on people-related matters.
  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the organization’s culture, values, and human resources practices.
  • Lead the formulation of talent acquisition strategies, from recruitment through onboarding, ensuring the organization attracts and retains exceptional talent.
  • Establish a compelling vision to ensure thoughtful design and implementation of talent development programs that foster employee growth, skills enhancement, and career progression.
  • Cultivate a learning culture that promotes continuous development and upskilling.
  • Oversee the establishment of performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement data-driven systems to assess and enhance employee performance and productivity.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace, promoting diversity across all organizational levels.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Create and execute employee engagement strategies to boost job satisfaction and workplace morale.
  • Implement well-being programs that support employees' physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Oversee the design and management of competitive compensation and benefits packages.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee relations, resolving conflicts and fostering positive relationships.
  • Stay informed about HR technology trends and utilize data analytics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Enhance HR systems to streamline processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Human Resources Officer should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within the retail, automotive, or technology sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to drive initiatives that align with business objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in talent acquisition and development.
