Job Description

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership to align the people strategy with the overarching business objectives.
  • Provide counsel to the PLC Board, remuneration committee, and nominations committee on strategic human resource matters.
  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the organization’s culture, values, and people practices.
  • Lead the formulation of talent acquisition strategies, from recruitment through onboarding, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top-tier talent.
  • Establish a compelling vision to ensure thoughtful design and execution of talent development programs that foster employee growth, skill enhancement, and career advancement.
  • Cultivate a learning culture that promotes continuous development and upskilling.
  • Oversee the establishment of performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement data-driven systems to assess and enhance employee performance and productivity.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace, promoting diversity in all facets of the organization.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to gauge progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Create and execute employee engagement strategies to boost job satisfaction and workplace morale.
  • Implement well-being programs that support employees' physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Oversee the design and management of competitive compensation and benefits packages.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant UK employment laws and regulations.

  • Stay informed on HR technology trends and leverage data analytics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Enhance HR systems to streamline processes effectively.
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with all regulatory finance and insurance sales activities in accordance with FCA requirements and internal policies.

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate for the Chief Human Resources Officer role should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
