Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Students: Work with a diverse group of learners who require extra help to succeed in their English and Maths studies.
  • Individual and Group Sessions: Provide tailored interventions for individuals and small groups, making complex concepts accessible through creative and engaging methods.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with Inclusion and Support Managers to review and innovate intervention strategies.
  • Evidence Gathering: Assist in the collection of evidence for exam access arrangements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, teachers, and managers to enhance learning outcomes for students with learning difficulties and disabilities, including those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Developing and Implementing Interventions: Work closely with staff to share effective strategies and ensure reasonable adjustments are made.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 2 (GCSE A-C) qualification or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Relevant Qualifications: A level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or a willingness to work toward one.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
  • Creativity and Independence: Ability to think creatively and independently to address students' learning challenges.
  • Understanding of Supporting Students: A good understanding of supporting students in English and Maths, helping them achieve their full potential.
