About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Amazon team. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in helping our partners leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies to accelerate customer cloud migration and adoption journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how of best practices when constructing applications and services using the AWS platform.
  • Own the technical engagement with partners, helping them to develop the technical capabilities needed to be successful in building and selling cloud-based solutions to customers.
  • Work with AWS Partners to drive discussions with IT leaders and senior executives, representing Amazon within a partner's and/or customer environment.
  • Drive technical initiatives and cloud migration projects with partners, providing guidance to developers and architects.
  • Think strategically about business and technical challenges, best practices, and trade-offs.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Working knowledge in software and application design patterns and practices, such as microservices, APIs, messaging, etc.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure technologies, such as Compute, Storage, HA/DR, load balancing, networking, etc.
  • Understanding of technical security practices and technologies, such as encryption, firewalls, authentication, etc.
  • Working knowledge in Data engineering and analytics technologies, such as real-time analytics, ETL, and Machine Learning.
  • Experience in Internet of Things (IoT) practices and technologies, such as device management, connectivity, and security.
  • Understanding of system and data migration patterns and practices.
  • Executive speaking and presentation skills, including formal presentations, white-boarding, large and small group presentations.
  • AWS or other technical cloud certifications.
  • Experience working in or with Public Sector organizations.
  • Pre-sales experience.
