Job Description

About the Role

We are proud to be partnering with a leading Social Housing provider to appoint a Development Project Manager who will spearhead the development journey, including planning, contract negotiation, risk assessment, and financial appraisal.

This is a full-time position based in a dynamic environment, with an agile working policy and a competitive salary of £43,982.00 per annum and a range of benefits.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Social Housing, domestic development projects, and a strong understanding of the development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development journey, including planning, contract negotiation, risk assessment, and financial appraisal.
  • Support the identification of new development opportunities through site finding, S106 bidding, and working with the development team.
  • Test the viability and deliverability of opportunities by undertaking site visits, reviewing scheme documentation.
  • Manage the journey of the Grant Claim process, ensuring records can withstand stringent audits.
  • Support the wider organisation with rent setting, forecasting, cashflow, and audit/charging.

Requirements

  • Experience in Social Housing and domestic development projects.
  • Strong understanding of the development process, including planning, contract negotiation, risk assessment, and financial appraisal.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong level of financial literacy, commercial awareness, and understanding of how to develop a risk management framework.
