Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Nelson. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Assist with daily activities, such as swimming, personal care, and teaching life skills
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with disabilities
  • Full driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
