**Job Summary**

We are seeking a part-time Support Worker to join our Whanau Support Services team in the Nelson area. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently, by assisting with daily living tasks, budgeting, meal preparation, and accompanying them to community activities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide mentorship and companionship to individuals with disabilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as budgeting and meal preparation
  • Accompany individuals to community activities and events
  • Support individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations
  • Work collaboratively with the Whanau Support Services team to ensure high-quality support

**What We Offer**

  • Competitive hourly rate between $23.38 and $29.10

**Requirements**

  • Passion for helping others and a kind, understanding attitude
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviors
  • Availability to work after school hours and weekends
  • Full driver's license and ownership of a vehicle
