Job Description

Cherry Professional - Relationship Led Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their client's team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for driving strategic continuous improvement of manufacturing processes throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of local manufacturing processes.
  • Production Analysis: Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines, and waste management to identify areas for improvement.
  • Initiative Ownership: Take ownership of initiatives across the Manufacturing Excellence Initiative (RT4ME) to ensure that ME Maturity Assessment targets are achieved.
  • Strategic Improvement Projects: Lead projects from conception to completion, delivering an engaging change experience for internal customers.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in local cell and production meetings as needed, and ensure a clear and holistic understanding of internal and external customers' expectations.
  • Process Compliance: Ensure that company processes, layout, systems, and tools are used properly and consistently to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Capex Proposal Development: Develop Capex proposals based on project outputs.
  • Best Practices: Utilize group and globally recognized ME techniques to drive improvement.
  • Compliance and Awareness: Ensure awareness of and compliance to company policies and procedures according to your agreed scope of work.
Requirements:
  • Education: HNC/HND, or equivalent level in an engineering discipline, desirable.
  • Improvement Process Management: Experience in improvement process management.
  • Local Process Expertise: Local process expertise and knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
  • Candidate Profile: Decision maker and problem solver with attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
