About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Plant Operator at Biogen, a leading provider of anaerobic digestion (AD) solutions in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Manager in the safe operation of the AD site, including loading and sorting of feedstocks via Telehandler.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure optimal site performance.
  • Perform site general housekeeping, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System, and assist with planned downtime of key equipment for overhaul.
  • Work unsupervised for periods of time and be undeterred by physical dirty work.
  • Hold a qualification or possess experience in Telehandler, confined spaces, working at heights, and first aid.
  • Be able to follow procedure and protocol, experience of cost control, and working within budget.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances effectively and be self-motivated, flexible, and a great team player.
  • Have experience of environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to operate a telehandler truck.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a related process industry.
  • Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including weekends, and call out on a rota basis.
  • Remote monitoring of the AD Process via SCADA.
  • Ability to operate a telehandler truck and obtain a telehandler licence.

What We Offer:

  • Up to £28,000 per annum dependent on experience + allowance + overtime.
  • 23 days leave (equivalent to 6.6 weeks holiday).
  • 4% employer pension.
  • x4 life assurance.
