About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Omega Leeds. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective and efficient planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance to minimize losses to production.
  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and eliminate root causes of mechanical engineering faults.
  • Design, trial, and implement minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
  • Complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as allocated.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Requirements
  • Apprentice-trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage.
  • Experience in fabrication and welding would be preferred.
  • A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
