Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Level 3 in Engineering and Manufacturing

Salary: £45,000 per annum
CV Library is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for driving strategic continuous improvement of manufacturing processes throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities- Process Optimization: Optimize local manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Process Analysis: Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines, and waste management.
- Initiative Ownership: Own initiatives across the Manufacturing Excellence Initiative (RT4ME), ensuring that ME Maturity Assessment targets are achieved.
- Project Leadership: Lead strategic improvement projects from conception to completion, delivering an engaging change experience for the internal customer.
- Collaboration: Participate in local cell and production meetings as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, identify, and project manage improvement initiatives as dictated by the needs of the business.
- Customer Expectations: Ensure a clear and holistic understanding of internal and external customers' expectations and aligning improvement solutions accordingly.
- Process Compliance: Ensure that company processes, layout, systems, and tools are used properly and consistently to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
- Capex Proposal Development: Develop Capex Proposals based on projects outputs.
- Best Practices: Utilize group and globally recognized ME techniques.
- Compliance: Ensure awareness of and compliance to company policies and procedures according to your agreed scope of work.
- Education: HNC/HND, or equivalent level in an engineering discipline, desirable.
- Improvement Process Management: Improvement Process Management.
- Process Expertise: Local Process Expertise and knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
- Candidate Requirements: Experience of building strong internal and external customer relationships.
- Decision Making: Decision maker and problem solver.
