Role Overview
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Quality and Technical teams in the execution of food safety, quality, and hygiene protocols throughout the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver proficient technical administrative assistance to both internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring adherence to established legal, hygiene, and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of food safety and quality systems across the site.
- Provide effective technical administrative support to internal and external clients.
- Ensure compliance with legal, hygiene, and customer standards.
- Monitor, identify, and communicate any deviations from established standards.

Daily Duties
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are followed.
- Manage the complaints database, ensuring timely investigations and resolution of issues.
- Conduct traceability and trend data analysis.
- Prepare and analyze technical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as microbiological data, physical grades, and complaints, reporting adverse trends to the Technical Manager for corrective actions.
- Audit and maintain quality assurance documentation, including production records and hygiene checklists.
- Support the QA/Technical Manager in keeping all documentation compliant with current legislation.
- Step in to cover for the QA Technician or Technologist as needed.
- Maintain an up-to-date calibration schedule for all monitoring equipment.
- Ensure operational systems in production are functioning correctly, including weighing systems and testing protocols.
- Conduct hygiene audits and factory swabbing as required.
- Order necessary laboratory consumables as needed.
- Participate as a member of the site HACCP and TACCP/VACCP teams, promoting best practices based on research.
- Complete internal audits on various systems and procedures.
- Log microbiological and shelf-life analyses, taking appropriate actions if limits are exceeded.
- Provide technical support to customers, including completion of Supplier Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs) and specifications.
- Maintain product codes and batch data within the Quality Management System (QMS).

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognized qualification in a Food Science-related field.
- At least Level 2 Food Safety training and HACCP certification.
- A solid understanding of microbiology and associated hazards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality or technical role within the Food Manufacturing sector.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
