Job Title: General Catering Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Catering Manager to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

About the Role

As a General Catering Manager, you will be responsible for leading our catering team to deliver exceptional food and service to our clients. You will work closely with our chefs, kitchen staff, and other teams to develop and implement menus, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising catering staff, as well as establishing strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences
  • Manage the catering budget and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff
  • Establish strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment
  • Financially astute with excellent analytical and budgeting skills
  • Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
  • Meticulous organizational abilities and a high attention to detail
  • Empathetic, clear, and highly effective verbal and written communication
