Role Objective:

Implement the Valeo Foods Health and Safety framework, achieving set performance metrics and objectives at the facility. Collaborate with various teams to ensure adherence to all HSE regulations and the adoption of industry best practices. Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring Safety:

  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all safety systems and ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Investigate all incidents and accidents thoroughly, sharing insights to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure that all tasks are performed safely, managing contractors and visitors effectively.
  • Conduct and validate comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Develop and oversee first aid and personal protective equipment protocols.
  • Collaborate with management teams to advocate for and implement effective EHS practices.
  • Partner with the HR department to guarantee sufficient Occupational Health services are available.
  • Work alongside the Learning and Development team to ensure that EHS training is adequate, documented, and followed.
  • Foster a robust 'safety culture' by ensuring compliance with evolving work practices and safe operational systems.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Ability to manage personnel, systems, and processes effectively.
  • Experience in strategic planning and risk management.
