About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer - Mechanical to join our team at Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group. As a key member of the MEH Alliance, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of the Hinkley Point C Nuclear project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the implementation of best practice to support the MEH Alliance programme.
  • Deliver Mechanical & Piping Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme.
  • Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the project.
  • Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance.
  • Enable the requesting and compliance of the MEH Alliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB.
  • Enable the co-ordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction works.
  • Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support the MEH Alliance construction works.
  • Prioritise and own documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan.

Requirements

  • Experience working on major construction projects with a proven track record of working in a highly regulated sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in Safe Systems of Work.
  • Experienced in delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures.
  • HNC/ONC or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing Mechanical and Piping systems.
