About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Weavers Pub. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet demanding kitchen deadlines.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and recipes.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
