About the Role

The LMP Group is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Coach to join our team. As an Apprentice Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering support, mentoring, and coaching to students who are part of our Alternative Provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver activities including team-building games, building social interaction, critical thinking activities, sports, and restorative practice to support the development of young people.
  • Engage with young people, support their behaviors and listening skills, and encourage a positive outlook towards learning.
  • Develop activities and resources to meet the needs of students, consult with the school lead to set targets, and report on progress and behaviors.
  • Undertake training and CPD as necessary and relevant to the role.
  • Be familiar with the LMP Code of Conduct and all operational, Health & Safety, Child Protection, and Data Protection policies.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and protection of children in your care by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures, maintaining a vigilant and proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Requirements

  • DBS (essential)
  • Coaching, Mentoring, Assessing, or Teaching qualification
  • 3 or more years of experience working with 11-16-year-olds
  • Experience in delivering training and working in diverse education, community, and/or sports environments
  • Experience of working with young people who are hard to engage

Benefits

  • £75-£85 per session
  • 5 days per week, 6 hours per day
  • Paid Holiday (accrued and paid at end of fixed term period)
