About the Role

MSA - The Safety Company is seeking a highly skilled Textiles Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing our textiles category, ensuring that we source high-quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Management: Analyze market trends, industry forecasts, and supplier economic cycles to develop and implement long-term category strategies that meet our business needs.
  • Cost Management: Manage costs through control, analysis, and communication of Purchased Price Variance (PPV) and other financial controls. Conduct and communicate category-based spend analysis, identify future cost savings pipeline, and implement savings initiatives.
  • Supplier Management: Determine and develop appropriate sources of supply, maintain cooperative working relationships with suppliers, and stay current with trends in technologies, products, and services.
  • Contract Management: Ensure participation in contract creation, reviews, and renewals, developing strategy for alignment and consistency to drive cost synergies.
Requirements
  • Experience using SAP and spend management solutions.
  • Advanced skills with Excel.
  • Membership in applicable professional organizations.
  • Background in Engineering or an Engineering-related field.
