Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing forecasted shifts in supply markets, industry trends, and supplier economic cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Category Management:

  1. Analyze market trends and supplier economic cycles to inform category strategies.
  2. Develop and drive long-term category strategies to fulfill enterprise-wide requirements and achieve maximum life-cycle value.
  3. Ensure environmentally- and ethically-sound procurement practices, including compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Cost Management:

  1. Manage cost through control, analysis, and communication of Purchased Price Variance (PPV) or other relevant financial controls.
  2. Conduct and communicate category-based spend analysis.

Supplier Management:

  1. Determine and develop appropriate sources of supply and maintain cooperative working relationships with suppliers.
  2. Ensure supplier social responsibility and risk mitigation.

Contract Management:

  1. Ensure participation in contract creation, reviews, and renewals, developing strategy for alignment and consistency to drive cost synergies.
  2. Utilize the contract management system (CMS) in collaboration with the Legal department as the standard repository.

Requirements

Preferred Experience:

  1. Experience using SAP.
  2. Experience using spend management solutions.
  3. Advanced skills with Excel.
  4. Background in Engineering or an Engineering-related field.
