As a Category Manager - Supply Chain Expert, you will play a critical role in driving our company's success by developing and executing category strategies that deliver maximum value to our business.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze forecasted shifts in supply markets, industry trends, and supplier economic cycles to inform category strategies.
- Develop and drive long-term category strategies in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to fulfill enterprise-wide requirements and achieve maximum life-cycle value.
- Ensure environmentally- and ethically-sound procurement practices, including compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage cost through control, analysis, and communication of Purchased Price Variance (PPV) or other relevant financial controls.
- Conduct and communicate category-based spend analysis to inform business decisions.
- Ensure supplier social responsibility and risk mitigation through effective supplier management.
- Utilize the contract management system (CMS) in collaboration with the Legal department as the standard repository.
- Experience using SAP and spend management solutions.
- Advanced skills with Excel.
- Background in Engineering or an Engineering-related field.
