About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at MSA - The Safety Company. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, developing long-term category strategies, and managing costs to achieve maximum value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Analyze forecasted shifts in supply markets, industry trends, and supplier economic cycles to inform category strategies.
  • Category Strategy Development: Create and drive long-term category strategies in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to fulfill enterprise-wide requirements and achieve maximum life-cycle value.
  • Cost Management: Manage costs through control, analysis, and communication of Purchased Price Variance (PPV) or other relevant financial controls.
  • Supplier Management: Ensure supplier social responsibility and risk mitigation.
  • Contract Management: Utilize the contract management system (CMS) in collaboration with the Legal department as the standard repository.
Requirements
  • Experience using SAP
