Overview of the Role...

The finance division of EG Group is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Head Office. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in the organization, serving as a financial liaison for Senior Management Teams and the Board.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director for the Benelux region, the Senior Finance Manager will oversee essential financial and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be tasked with managing all facets of management accounts and financial reporting, while ensuring robust oversight of the transactional accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly accounts from trial balance to financial statements for multiple entities
  • Leadership and development of a team of qualified finance professionals
  • Coordinate and review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities
  • Oversee the balance sheet reconciliation process for various entities
  • Accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Plan and execute the audit process ensuring timely completion
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Establish and maintain effective processes and controls in accordance with Group standards
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies across all tasks and activities
  • Continuously assess and enhance finance systems, processes, and controls
  • Engage in other ad-hoc projects as required
  • Act as a key business partner

Candidate Profile

  • Professional qualification with typically over 5 years of post-qualification experience (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
  • BA/BSc degree or equivalent is advantageous
  • Commitment to compliance with internal controls and audit processes
  • Ability to anticipate business impacts from external changes
  • Representation of the Country Team internally and in cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in Business Partnering
  • Proficiency in Financial Reporting
  • Experience in Financial Stakeholder Management
  • Understanding of Corporate Governance
  • Familiarity with Finance Systems
