About the Role

As a key member of the Carrier team, you will be responsible for leading a large team of experienced Finance professionals or team leaders. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing key components of financial plans, managing and monitoring financial initiatives and controls. You will evaluate and recommend strategies for financial and budget plans, advising senior management on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

As a UK Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee all day-to-day finance processes, including controllership, manufacturing finance, treasury, insurance, and tax.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualification: A recognized accounting qualification with experience in UK GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work and deliver within tight timelines.
  • Leadership and Management Experience: Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a global business with operations in the UK and sales across Europe.
  • Manufacturing Accounting Experience: Experience in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting and general ledger close process.
  • University Degree or Equivalent Experience: A university degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
