Job Overview

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and highly motivated senior neonatal nurse to lead our neonatal community outreach team and Transitional care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clinical leadership, creating constant communication between medical, midwifery, and nursing staff, and managing care of the neonate on SCBU, the postnatal ward, or within the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide managerial support to the Community Neonatal Team and Transitional Care Team.
  • Develop and maintain clinical skills in practice and ensure the delivery of high standards of care.
  • Provide family-integrated care, promote health promotion directives, and support the well-being of the family.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the speciality, including 2 years at Band 6.
  • Specialist qualification as a neonatal nurse.
  • Experience of managing and leading a team.
  • Significant community experience and Transitional Care setting experience.
Person Specification
  • Ability to work across boundaries to manage change and deliver quality services.
  • Experience of promoting health promotion directives and supporting the well-being of families.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
