Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests on electrical systems and verify the continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures, utilizing testing devices to ensure system compatibility and safety.
  • Identify and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using testing equipment and hand tools to diagnose breakdowns and implement solutions.
  • Perform maintenance or repairs on electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures at elevated heights, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to detect hazards, defects, and the necessity for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
  • Provide management with insights regarding the potential hazards of continued equipment operation.
  • Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with job specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications Required:

  • Fully qualified electrician with expertise in maintaining various types of electrical equipment and components.
  • Current ECS Grading Card (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment).
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade.
  • Understanding of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
  • Certification in the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience in the Water industry is highly desirable, although candidates from heavy industry backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Possession of an EUSR Ticket.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
