Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests on electrical systems and verify circuit continuity in wiring, equipment, and fixtures, utilizing testing devices to guarantee system compatibility and safety.
- Identify and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using diagnostic tools and hand tools to determine the cause of issues and implement corrective measures.
- Perform maintenance or repairs on electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures at elevated heights, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Examine electrical systems, equipment, and components to detect hazards, defects, and the necessity for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
- Provide management with insights regarding the potential hazards of continued equipment operation.
- Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with job specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications Required:
- Fully qualified electrician with expertise in maintaining various types of electrical equipment and components.
- Current ECS Grading Card (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment).
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade.
- Understanding of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
- Qualified to the 18th Edition.
- Experience in the Water industry is highly desirable, although candidates from heavy industry backgrounds will also be considered.
- Possession of an EUSR Ticket.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
