Job Title: Staffing Manager

Lexington Catering is seeking a highly skilled Staffing Manager to join our team. As a Staffing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the workforce, ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the scheduling and deployment of staff using online booking platforms.
  • Ensure that the right calibre and quantity of staff are booked for each site in line with their requests.
  • Maintain clear communication channels between sites and the central support team to ensure expectations are met.
  • Work with the recruitment team to ensure staffing levels are aligned with business needs.
  • Support with conducting interviews and the recruitment process.
  • Responsible for securing confirmation of attendance of staff and agencies from site management teams.
  • Actively encourage staff feedback and follow up with appropriate actions.
  • Support the Talent & Resourcing manager with resolving customer complaints and staffing issues.
  • Strengthen relationships and support business growth by conducting site visits and following up with documented actions.
  • Ensure staff members have an active training plan, including mandatory training and refreshers.
  • Ensure staff are supplied with the correct uniform and liaise with HR & Payroll Administrator for orders and supplies.
  • Manage absence for all staff, conduct RTWs, and ensure HR & Payroll Administrator is kept up to date.
  • Carry out regular coffee chats with staff and casuals to ensure all staff reviews are completed and up to date.
  • Ensure recharge sheets are completed and kept up to date, and support Finance Administrator with recharge queries and expense processing.
  • Ensure operational activities meet requirements in respect of COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, allergens, environmental policies, and duty of care to customers and employees.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Requirements:
  • Planning and organisation skills.
  • People management, time management, decision-making skills, creative thinking, written communication, and time management.
  • Leadership skills and networking.
  • Desirable: experience working within a kitchen environment.
Benefits:
  • Salary up to £35,000, including food and travel card allowance.
  • Flexible working: full-time and part-time roles with varying shift patterns.
  • 28 days holiday, increasing to 31 days after two years' service.
