In light of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking to onboard a Junior Technical Specialist on a casual basis. This position offers a structured training program designed to equip you with essential practical skills, insights into business systems, and hands-on experience in a scientific, technical, or engineering context.

Upon successful completion of a technical apprenticeship, you will typically achieve accreditation in your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a variety of technical, engineering, and scientific tasks, which may encompass laboratory experiments or desktop research within a specialized domain.
  • Assess, interpret, and analyze pertinent functional data, concepts, and ideas to formulate experiments, investigations, and solutions to challenges.
  • Collaborate independently or as part of a broader engineering, technical, or scientific team, ensuring the quality of your work to provide value to the organization.
  • Identify and propose solutions to challenges, pinpoint areas for business enhancement, and suggest innovative scientific, technical, or business concepts.
  • Acquire knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protocols necessary within your unit.
  • Gain insights into business operations and the methodologies employed to understand how the organization applies its core values to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop an understanding of the market and commercial landscape, including customer relations and service management.
  • Pursue personal training and development opportunities to enhance your skills, knowledge, and competence across various business scenarios.

About this Role:

This position requires a secondary education background with a focus on technical disciplines such as engineering, science, and mathematics.

Previous industrial or business experience is not a prerequisite; the emphasis is on gaining familiarity with products and the business landscape.

The Junior Technical Specialist will typically follow a formal program that outlines work experiences across several relevant environments, whether within a business or a specific function, such as engineering or other technical fields.
