About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Clerical Team within the Rehabilitation Department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide reception and clerical support, ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient appointment service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake general receptionist duties, including greeting patients and visitors, and directing them to the appropriate area within the department or hospital.
  • Assist in the management of outpatient waiting lists and clinics, recording information and making appointments.
  • Provide clerical, administrative, and information technology support to the Rehabilitation Centre.

Requirements

  • Basic level of education, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualification/work experience.
  • Relevant secretarial/administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of secretarial procedures and software programmes.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ II or equivalent.
  • RSA II or equivalent.
  • Experience of using a computerised appointments system, such as the Camis system.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting and basic knowledge of the NHS.
