Compliance Expert - EMEA

Shell is seeking an experienced Compliance Expert to lead the EMEA region within the Shell Energy division. This role involves providing expert advice and support on compliance matters for the energy trading markets in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). As a member of the Compliance Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in guiding the EMEA Shell Energy businesses to ensure compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise EMEA Shell Energy businesses on compliance obligations and risks.
  • Support business strategies and new market proposals.
  • Participate in Governance, Risk, Compliance & Assurance Committees.
  • Collaborate with other functions like Legal, Finance, and Audit.
  • Promote a culture of compliance within the Shell business.
  • Lead the EMEA Shell Energy Compliance Risk Assessments.
  • Develop the skills of the Advisory team to align with business goals.
  • Offer guidance on acquisitions and new business integration.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a senior compliance role in the EMEA region.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy trading markets and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving business transformation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Integrity and ethical principles as core values.
