Job Description

AJ FOX COMPLIANCE Seeks In-House Risk Lawyer

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced In-House Risk Lawyer to join their dynamic office in London. The role will be varied, contributing to the management and smooth operation of the firm alongside the support of the wider compliance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice to senior management on a variety of legal matters, ensuring the firm's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the firm's operational and business activities align with regulatory requirements.
  • Answer team-wide queries relating to conflicts, ethics, financial crime, professional standards, and other compliance-related matters.
  • Mitigate legal risks and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide support for potential claims against the firm or its lawyers.
  • Procure relevant insurance for the firm in various areas, liaising with brokers and insurers.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding a partner's legal relationship with the firm, including changes and departures.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of risk-focused PQE and extensive knowledge of legal/regulatory compliance gained from a leading, international law firm.
  • Experience within a professional negligence role as a fee earner or managing legal issues on a global scale is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivation and ambition are necessary for career progression in the near future.
