Position Overview: Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Psychology Graduates to join our client schools as Educational Support Assistants. This role is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the educational landscape.

Compensation: The weekly salary for this role ranges from £420 to £450.

Candidate Requirements: We are looking for recent psychology graduates eager to embark on a career in education. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity for further training and potential permanent teaching roles upon qualification.

Essential Qualifications: Candidates must be willing to undergo a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment-based references. A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with additional Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, including conditions such as autism and ADHD.
  • Work with pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to address their unique learning needs.
  • Assist students in following their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing constructive feedback to teachers, parents, and the students themselves.
  • Manage student behavior effectively and foster positive relationships to aid their development.
  • Ensure adherence to all safeguarding protocols and handle situations with care and professionalism.
